The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in dental office management, medical administrative support, and healthcare administration. This role requires a proactive leader with excellent fiscal management skills, proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix, and a comprehensive understanding of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and practice management. The Dental Office Manager will ensure smooth clinic operations, foster a positive patient experience, and maintain compliance with healthcare standards. Responsibilities Oversee all administrative functions of the dental practice, including scheduling, patient records management, billing, and coding to optimize operational efficiency. Supervise staff members across various roles such as receptionists, dental assistants, and hygienists, providing leadership, training, and performance evaluations. Manage fiscal responsibilities including budgeting, financial reporting, billing processes, and ensuring profitability through effective financial management strategies. Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations including HIPAA privacy standards, JCAHO accreditation requirements, and OSHA safety protocols. Coordinate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth patient flow and high-quality care delivery while maintaining accurate medical records using EMR/EHR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Implement human resources policies related to staffing, employee relations, and professional development within the practice. Monitor clinic performance metrics and utilize data to improve operational workflows and patient satisfaction levels. Experience Proven experience in dental office management or healthcare management with a strong background in medical administrative support. Demonstrated supervisory experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams within a clinical setting. Extensive knowledge of dental clinic operations including practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with eClinicalWorks or Epic is advantageous. Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, billing procedures, and insurance processes including managed care and utilization management. Experience working within regulated healthcare environments such as hospitals or clinics that adhere to JCAHO standards is preferred. Background in fiscal management including budgeting, financial analysis, and resource allocation within a healthcare setting. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements and best practices for safeguarding patient information across electronic health record systems.
