The firm represents clients in immigration matters across the United States and is committed to thorough, client-focused legal services, professional excellence, accountability, and continued learning. Position Overview The Danquah Law Group, LLC is seeking an experienced Immigration Practice Manager to oversee the daily case operations, staff workflow, deadline tracking, and administrative management of the firm's immigration practice. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Atlanta, Georgia. The Practice Manager will work closely with attorneys, paralegals, case processors, legal assistants, intake staff, and firm leadership to ensure immigration matters move efficiently from intake through filing, follow-up, and case completion. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of immigration law firm experience, strong case-management skills, team-lead or supervisory experience, excellent follow-through, and the ability to manage high-volume workflows in a deadline-driven legal environment. This is a non-attorney role. The Practice Manager does not provide legal advice, establish legal strategy, or independently approve filings. Legal advice and final legal review remain under attorney supervision. Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily immigration case workflow from intake, document collection, preparation, attorney review, filing, receipt tracking, follow-up, and case closure.
- Track deadlines, missing documents, attorney review queues, client follow-ups, government notices, filing priorities, and stalled matters.
- Coordinate the work of paralegals, case processors, legal assistants, intake support staff, and administrative staff assigned to immigration matters.
- Assign tasks based on priority, staff capacity, case complexity, and filing deadlines.
- Monitor staff follow-through, responsiveness, task completion, and compliance with firm procedures.
- Prepare and review case-status reports, workflow reports, and productivity reports for leadership.
- Communicate with clients regarding administrative case status, document collection, scheduling, process updates, and service-related issues.
- Escalate legal questions, case strategy issues, eligibility questions, outcome concerns, complaints, urgent deadlines, and high-risk matters to attorneys or firm leadership.
- Support quality-control procedures before attorney review and filing, including confirming that required forms, evidence, supporting documents, translations, signatures, filing fees, and checklists are complete.
- Coordinate with intake and client-relations staff to ensure new matters are properly opened, assigned, and transferred into case production.
- Maintain and improve standard operating procedures, checklists, templates, trackers, dashboards, and internal process documents.
- Identify bottlenecks, recurring errors, training needs, workload issues, and opportunities to improve case-management systems and workflows.
- Assist with training staff on case procedures, document standards, client communication protocols, and case-management systems. Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in an immigration law firm or immigration legal services environment required.
- Prior experience as an immigration paralegal, senior case manager, lead case processor, legal operations coordinator, or practice-management support professional preferred.
- Experience coordinating or supervising legal support staff strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of immigration case workflows, client document collection, government notices, filing preparation, and case-status tracking.
- Familiarity with family-based, employment-based, humanitarian, removal defense, consular processing, naturalization, or EB-5 matters preferred.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong ability to manage multiple matters, competing priorities, urgent deadlines, and high-volume workflows.
- High attention to detail and ability to identify incomplete files, missing documents, stalled matters, and process gaps.
- Professional judgment, discretion, confidentiality, and client-service orientation.
- Proficiency with legal case-management software, Microsoft Office, Adobe, Google Workspace, document management systems, and standard office productivity tools.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required if the candidate has strong immigration law firm experience.
- Paralegal certificate, legal studies background, or bilingual ability is a plus.
A highly qualified candidate with strong immigration practice-management experience, supervisory ability, and proven case-flow management may be considered above the stated range. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Atlanta, Georgia. Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional flexibility required based on firm deadlines and operational needs. Reporting Structure This position reports to firm leadership, including the COO, Managing Attorney, or designated supervising attorney, and works closely with attorneys, paralegals, case processors, intake staff, administrative staff, and clients.
