Dental Office Manager Confidential Dental Practice - 3.9 Decatur, GA Job Details Full-time 5 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Qualifications Accounts receivable management Dental receptionist Administrative experience Healthcare practice operations management Medical debt collection accounts Collections account management Patient collections management Full Job Description Office Manager - Dental Practice | Decatur, GA This is a leadership role. If you're looking for a job where you can clock in, check boxes, and clock out, this isn't it. If you're someone who takes ownership, holds a team accountable, and takes pride in running a practice that actually performs — keep reading. The Opportunity A well-established dental practice in the Decatur area is looking for an experienced Office Manager to take the reins of day-to-day operations. You'll work directly with leadership and be responsible for the performance, culture, and accountability of the front office team. This role has real authority — and real responsibility to match. What You're Responsible For Operations & Performance You'll own the numbers. That means tracking practice KPIs, keeping the schedule full, monitoring case acceptance, following up on unscheduled treatment, and making sure leadership has an end-of-day and end-of-month report that actually means something. Case Acceptance & Patient Financing This is a big part of the role. You're comfortable sitting across from a patient, presenting a treatment plan with confidence, and helping them find a path to yes — whether that's walking them through financing options, breaking down their investment, or simply taking the time to help them understand why their treatment matters. Our practice places a strong emphasis on dental implants and clear aligner therapy, and we want someone who can speak to the value of those services without flinching at the price tag. Collections & Financial Conversations You're not afraid to collect money. You handle outstanding balances at check-in, follow up on past-due accounts, and manage the AR and collections process without letting it pile up. You understand that collecting what's owed isn't uncomfortable — it's what keeps the practice healthy and the team employed. Team Leadership You hire, train, and hold the team accountable. You run team meetings with purpose. You make sure expectations are clear and that people are meeting them. When they're not, you address it. Insurance & Billing Insurance verifications, daily claims processing, AR management, patient statements, and collections. You know how dental billing works and you don't let things fall through the cracks. Financial & Administrative Manage patient financial arrangements, collect balances, handle accounts payable, prepare payroll for leadership review, manage the in-house membership plan, and stay on top of annual fee negotiations and code reviews. Compliance & Credentialing Make sure licenses, CE requirements, and credentials for the entire team are current and in compliance. Keep the practice protected. What We're Looking For A minimum of 2-3 years in a dental office management or lead front office role. You should be fluent in dental insurance, comfortable with practice management software (Dentrix a strong plus), and experienced in AR and collections. Experience presenting higher-value treatment — implants, full-arch cases, or clear aligners — is a significant plus. Most importantly, you should know how to lead people — not just manage tasks. You're organized, direct, solutions-oriented, and the kind of person who sees a problem and fixes it rather than waiting to be told. You're equally comfortable motivating a team and having a tough financial conversation with a patient. You take the success of the practice personally. What's In It For You Competitive salary based on experience. Paid time off and holidays. Discounted dental care for you and your family. A practice with nearly 80 years of history in the Decatur community that is actively investing in systems, training, and infrastructure to grow the right way. Quarterly team trainings. One late evening per week — no other evenings, no weekends. No medical insurance provided. To Apply Send your resume and a brief note about your management experience to . Tell us what practice you came from, how large the team was, and what you're most proud of operationally. We read every application.
