Dentist/Practice Owner Job Summary The Dental Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily administrative and operational functions of the dental practice. This role ensures efficient office operations, excellent patient experience, staff coordination, and financial performance while maintaining compliance with dental regulations and company policies. Key Responsibilities Office Operations Manage daily front-office operations, scheduling, and patient flow Ensure smooth coordination between clinical and administrative teams Maintain office policies, procedures, and systems for efficiency Oversee inventory, supplies, and equipment maintenance Staff Management Supervise, train, and support front desk and administrative staff Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance evaluations Foster a positive, professional, and patient-centered work environment Patient Experience Ensure exceptional customer service and patient satisfaction Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally Oversee appointment scheduling, confirmations, and follow-ups Billing & Financial Oversight Manage billing, insurance claims, collections, and payment processing Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances Prepare reports related to revenue, expenses, and office performance Assist with budgeting and financial planning Compliance & Records Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Coordinate audits, inspections, and certifications as needed Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in a dental or medical office (2+ years preferred) Strong knowledge of dental insurance, billing, and scheduling systems Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills Proficiency in dental practice management software and Microsoft Office Preferred Experience managing staff in a dental practice Familiarity with dental coding and treatment planning Skills & Competencies Leadership and team management Customer service and conflict resolution Multitasking and time management Financial and analytical skills Attention to detail and confidentiality Work Environment & Physical Requirements Office-based dental practice environment Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the office for extended periods Occasional lifting of office supplies or equipment Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Health insurance, life insurance, vacation, retirement plan, bonuses
