Position Overview The Area Manager oversees the performance, operations, and culture of multiple dental practices in Northern Indiana. This role ensures alignment with company standards while supporting practice leaders and clinical teams in delivering exceptional patient care. You will serve as a key liaison between providers, office teams, and the BDD Support Team—driving operational excellence, fostering a positive work environment, and supporting business growth. Paid time off (PTO) Holiday pay 401(k) retirement plan with company match Key Responsibilities Operational Management Oversee daily operations across multiple offices Ensure compliance with company policies and dental regulations Identify and implement operational improvements Monitor KPIs (production, collections, patient satisfaction) Maintain staffing levels in coordination with HR Manage supplies, equipment, and facility needs Maintain full-time, on-site presence during business hours Front Desk Operations Act as a visible and engaged leader in each practice Ensure adherence to insurance and revenue cycle management (RCM) procedures Patient Experience Promote high standards of patient care and service Resolve escalated patient concerns Improve scheduling flow and treatment adherence Track and enhance patient satisfaction metrics Team Leadership & Development Supervise and coach team members across locations Conduct performance evaluations and development planning Lead meetings, trainings, and team-building initiatives Oversee payroll and annual reviews Partner with leadership on onboarding and training Communicate clearly and professionally Financial Management Manage Profit & Loss (P&L) performance Control expenses and support revenue growth Partner with RCM to improve billing and collections Analyze financial reports and identify opportunities Manage accounts receivable and aging targets Provide insights to improve office profitability Problem Solving & Decision-Making Prioritize and resolve issues effectively Respond to operational challenges with data-driven decisions Compliance & Safety Stay current with dental laws and regulations Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and dental boards Promote a culture of safety and accountability Qualifications Education & Experience Dental practice management experience required Multi-site management experience preferred Experience with PPO programs Familiarity with multiple dental practice management systems (PMS) Strong computer and technology skills Core Competencies Financial and operational acumen Knowledge of dental metrics and compliance standards Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Effective time management and multitasking Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities Commitment to team development and accountability Patient-focused mindset Bright Direction Dental is an equal opportunity employer committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
