- Full-time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and motivated Office Manager to join our growing bariatric surgery practice in Overland Park, Kansas.
This individual will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the practice while helping to create an exceptional experience for patients throughout their weight loss journey. The Office Manager will oversee front-office operations, coordinate staff activities, support patient scheduling and workflow processes, monitor operational performance, and serve as a liaison between physicians, staff, and external partners. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with healthcare management experience, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding patient service. This position offers a unique opportunity to help build and shape a patient-centered bariatric surgery practice from the ground up. The successful candidate will contribute to developing workflows, supporting practice growth, fostering a positive team culture, and ensuring operational excellence as the organization expands. Required Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of healthcare office management, practice management, or healthcare operations experience. Demonstrated experience supervising and supporting clinical and administrative staff. Knowledge of medical office workflows, patient scheduling, insurance verification processes, and revenue cycle fundamentals. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a surgical specialty, bariatric surgery, gastroenterology, general surgery, or other specialty practice setting. Experience participating in the startup of a new medical practice, opening a new location, implementing operational workflows, or supporting significant practice growth initiatives. Experience recruiting, onboarding, and training healthcare staff. Knowledge of patient care coordination and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field. Bilingual skills are a plus.
