Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Medical Practice Manager to lead the operational excellence of our healthcare facility. This role leads the planning and coordination of operations at AcadianaCares Wellness Clinic, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and Ryan White
HIV/AIDS
Program (RWHAP) Part C & D grantee. The Medical Practice Manager ensures compliance with all HRSA Health Center Program requirements and Ryan White program standards while driving service excellence. Key responsibilities include supervising medical and administrative support staff, promoting teamwork, managing customer service policies, overseeing federal grant compliance, and supporting the organization's mission to provide high-quality, accessible, and affordable care to underserved populations regardless of ability to pay Responsibilities Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Functions effectively within clinical and administrative support roles across the practice; serves as a key liaison between frontline staff and organizational leadership. Collaborates with the Medical Director and leadership team to identify operational opportunities and challenges; initiates plans for informed decision-making. Directly supervises practice staff, ensuring adequate staffing coverage for all positions. Coordinates coverage for both scheduled and unscheduled leave; reviews and approves employee time records and time-off requests; provides oversight of bi-weekly timesheets. Oversees provider credentialing and privileging processes in coordination with clinical leadership; ensures documentation is audit-ready at all times.Oversees billing and collections operations:
ensures timely billing to Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, and other payers; maintains systems consistent with HRSA billing and collections program requirements. Monitors 340B Drug Pricing Program compliance: maintains auditable records, ensures patient eligibility documentation, and oversees contract pharmacy agreements as applicable. Assists with the writing and management of grant applications and reports; monitors expenditures and deliverables for all grants and contracts, including Section 330 and RWHAP awards. Oversees budget development and monitoring for the clinic, including review of revenue cycle performance, accounts receivable, and operational expenditures; ensures financial management practices comply with GAAP and 2 CFR Part 200 requirements. Ensures provider schedules meet established productivity benchmarks; promptly informs leadership of any benchmark attainment issues. Requirements Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare administration with a strong background in office management within clinical settings. Demonstrated supervisory experience overseeing administrative or clinical teams in a healthcare environment. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems. Strong knowledge of fiscal management, including budgeting, financial management practices, and revenue cycle processes. Experience with HIPAA compliance standards and healthcare regulation. Excellent organizational skills combined with the ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced environments like hospitals or clinics. At least 3 years of management-level experience in a healthcare organization required; prior experience in an FQHC, community health center, or safety-net setting strongly preferred.Pay:
