The Lead Medical Assistant is an allied health professional who works closely with clinical and administrative leadership across one or more practices. This role combines hands-on clinical excellence with mentorship and team support.

Job Description:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Support:
Serve as a role model and mentor, providing support, training, guidance, and knowledge-sharing to Medical Assistants, student externs, and other non‑licensed staff across assigned practice(s)Provide direction and oversight related to compliance and regulatory matters, escalating concerns to the Practice Manager as appropriateSupport team members through workflow, technology, and process changesPartner with Practice Manager(s) to identify and address training needs, promoting a safe environment for delivering and receiving care
Practice & Operational Support:
Act as a lead resource in daily office operationsResearch, prioritize, and follow up on incoming issues addressed to the Practice Manager, including sensitive and confidential mattersCollaborate closely with the Practice Manager or designee to determine appropriate actions, referrals, or responsesServe as a liaison with administrative and clinical staff across MAH departments, as requestedSupport and help maintain patient access
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required2-3 years of experience demonstrating proficiency in all areas of Medical AssistingDemonstrated MA competencies: (preferred):

MA Certificate (preferred)Associate's Degree in Medical AssistingEMT or PCT experienceNursing student (with at least one clinical rotation)Home health aide experiencePhysician assistant program candidateStrong customer service and interpersonal skills with patients, families, staff, and providersAbility and willingness to mentor, train, and guide othersExperience with computer systems and web‑based applications required (Epic experience a plus)Current CPR certificationPhlebotomy skills helpful
Pay Range:
$23.15
  • $31.
16The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
