Position Overview MEC is seeking a dynamic Optical Dispensary Manager to lead operations at our Worcester area locations. This role is responsible for overseeing daily dispensary functions, driving sales performance, managing a team of optical associates and/or licensed opticians, and ensuring an exceptional patient experience. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with proven experience in retail, healthcare or optical management, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering results. What You'll Do- Lead and manage all aspects of the optical dispensary, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and compliance with MEC standards.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with clients, providers, technicians, and administrative staff.
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing optical sales team.
- Oversee sales performance, inventory management, patient flow, and merchandising strategies.
- Ensure accurate processing of orders and insurance claims, and timely delivery of financial reports.
- Monitor and improve key performance metrics, including sales, collections, and receivables.
- Implement promotional initiatives and provide input on product selection and inventory needs.
- Serve as the primary liaison between MEC leadership and our client. What We're Looking For
- Proven leadership experience in optical, retail, or healthcare management.
- Strong financial and operational acumen with the ability to analyze data and implement improvements.
- Proficiency with all MS Office products
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to recruit, coach, and inspire a team.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
