$50,000•$72,000 Annually About Meridian Veterinary Services Meridian Veterinary Services is a client•and patient-focused small animal practice dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality veterinary care. We offer general and holistic veterinary medicine for dogs and cats. Our caring, compassionate, integrated approach helps pets achieve healing and wellness. Position Summary The Operations Manager oversees administrative systems, workflow coordination, and team development within the practice. This role works closely with the Veterinary Technical Manager to ensure alignment between medical and operational functions. While this is not a full-time CSR or Head Receptionist role, the Operations Manager must be proficient in all front desk responsibilities and step in when needed to support the team. This position includes direct communication with clients via phone, email, and in-person interactions and plays a key role in maintaining professional, compassionate service standards. This is a leadership role within a growing practice that requires adaptability, initiative, and a strong understanding of veterinary operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations & Systems Management Oversee staff scheduling and assist with payroll coordination. Troubleshoot and optimize practice management software and related systems. Coordinate online ordering of equipment and supplies in collaboration with the Veterinary Technical Manager. Manage online submissions of specialized laboratory tests. Identify and implement workflow improvements as the practice grows. Support operational planning and infrastructure development. Team Leadership & Development Supervise and support CSR staff (many of whom are cross-trained). Ensure all front desk systems and service protocols are followed consistently. Assist with onboarding and cross-training initiatives across departments. Contribute to the development and professional growth of the entire medical team. Foster accountability, collaboration, and a positive workplace culture. Client Communication & Support Communicate directly with clients via phone, email, and in-person interactions. Address escalated client concerns professionally and efficiently. Provide hands-on support at the front desk when needed, including appointment coordination, client communication, and administrative processing. Maintain a strong rapport with clients while balancing operational priorities. Practice Coordination & External Relations Serve as liaison between Meridian Veterinary Services and vendors, laboratories, referral partners, and other practices. Maintain strong professional relationships that support seamless patient care. Collaboration Work closely with the Veterinary Technical Manager to ensure alignment between administrative operations and clinical workflow. Support shared leadership goals for growth, efficiency, and team engagement.
