The Office Manager will oversee daily office operations and be responsible for managing all employees. They are responsible for overseeing billing, completing tasks assigned by doctor and meeting with outside organizations. Thamer Medical is single-physician office in Dearborn, MI with six total employees (three on each given patient day).

Part-Time:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM The Office Manager will be responsible for supervising all employees to ensure smooth daily operations and provide guidance and direction to staff members to ensure they are adhering to all office policies, standards, procedures and regulations. The Office Manager must have the ability to perform all front and back office functions both quickly and efficiently along with functioning as a technical department resource and providing training new hires. The Office Manager will report directly to the physician.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Oversee efficient and professional operation of all front and back desk team members
  • Assist front and back office staff during high traffic times to ensure smooth patient services
  • Ensure adherence of all office policies and procedures including HIPAA compliance
  • Ensure all team members clearly understand their job roles, responsibilities and performance expectations
  • Monitor and evaluate performance of all staff to ensure responsibilities and duties are met, and determine/execute any necessary disciplinary measures
  • Responsible for hiring, training and development of all staff members
Education Requirements:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting or health care administration, or other related field
  • Knowledge of business and accounting processes
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
  • Knowledge and experience in all aspects of billing
  • Knowledge of regulations related to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance
  • Human resources experience in hiring, supervision, and performance reviews
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and labor law
  • Skill in writing policies and procedures
  • Skill in using healthcare software and computer systems
  • Knowledge of maintaining supplies and equipment for the medical setting
  • Multitasking and problem-solving skills
  • Professional communication and presentation skills, including face to face, email, telephone, and video conference
  • Ability to communicate professionally with clinicians, nurses, health staff, administrative staff, frontline staff, contractors, governmental agencies, insurance payers, patients, family members of patients, suppliers, and the general public, of all age levels from child to senior citizen
