Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Medical Practice Manager to lead the operational excellence of our healthcare facility. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily administrative functions, managing clinical staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and optimizing financial performance. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to practice management, fostering a positive environment that enhances patient care and staff productivity. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining smooth operations, implementing efficient workflows, and driving continuous improvement across all aspects of the practice. Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operations of the medical practice, including scheduling, patient flow, and clinical support services. Manage fiscal responsibilities such as budgeting, financial management, billing processes, and expense control to ensure profitability. Supervise administrative and clinical staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and human resources functions. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), JCAHO (Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations) standards, and OSHA requirements. Maintain accurate medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic, eClinicalWorks, or Dentrix; ensure proper documentation and confidentiality. Coordinate with medical providers to optimize clinic operations and facilitate effective utilization management and managed care strategies. Implement policies for medical administrative support, clinic workflows, and office management to enhance efficiency and patient satisfaction. Monitor clinic performance metrics and utilize data analytics to identify opportunities for process improvements. Oversee inventory management of medical supplies and equipment; ensure compliance with safety standards. Foster a collaborative team environment that promotes professional development in nursing, medical management, and healthcare delivery. Requirements Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare management roles within clinics or hospitals. Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Veradigm, Epic, eClinicalWorks, or Eaglesoft; proficiency in managing medical records and documentation standards. Demonstrated supervisory experience leading administrative or clinical teams in a healthcare setting. Expertise in fiscal management including budgeting, financial analysis, billing procedures, and expense control. Familiarity with healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance and JCAHO accreditation standards. Excellent understanding of medical terminology, acute care practices, dental office experience or veterinary experience is a plus. Ability to coordinate multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient care and staff support. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners. Knowledge of managed care processes, utilization management strategies, and hospital or clinic operational protocols is highly desirable.
