GENERAL SUMMARY
The Lead APP (Advanced Practice Provider) plays a key role in overseeing and enhancing the delivery of patient care within a healthcare setting. As a leader among a team of advanced practice providers (such as Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants), the Lead APP is responsible for clinical supervision, mentorship, and ensuring that the APP team adheres to the highest standards of patient care. In addition to providing direct patient care, the Lead APP collaborates closely with physicians, healthcare staff, and administration to improve clinical outcomes, drive quality initiatives, and streamline workflows. The role requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to influence practice standards within the department

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/COMPETENCIES
The responsibilities and duties described in this job description are intended to provide a general overview of the position. Duties may vary depending on the specific needs of the affiliate or location you are working at and/or state requirements. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide leadership and guidance to the APP team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. Focuses on promoting best practices and driving efficiencies in clinical processess for APPs. Lead a mentorship/preceptorship program for new APPs, offering support in clinical practice, decision making, and professional development. Team Coordination and Communication. Organize and facilitate regular APP team meetings to discuss clinical protocols, patient care updates, and operational changes. Serve as a liaison between APPs, physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure smooth communication and coordination of care. The Lead APP will be responsible for conducting APP reviews, including initial new hire assessments and annual performance evaluations. Actively engaged in resolving conflicts or addressing issues within the APP team and facilitate solutions in collaboration with leadership. Committee Participation and Advocacy. Serve as an active member of the APP committee (Solaris APP Committee), contributing to discussions regarding APP roles, practice advancement and organizational strategies. Represent the APP team in relevant departmental meetings and advocate the needs of the APPs within the organization. Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning to optimize the role and impact of the APPs within the Affiliate. Continue education and professional development. Promote and support continued education events to ensure ongoing competence in clinical skills and knowledge to ensure APPs are up to date with evolving clinical guidelines and technologies. Performs other position related duties as assigned. Employees shall adhere to high standards of ethical conduct and will comply with and assist in complying with all applicable laws and regulations. This will include and not be limited to following the Solaris Health Code of Conduct and all Solaris Health and Affiliated Practice policies and procedures; maintaining the confidentiality of patients' protected health information in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); immediately reporting any suspected concerns and/or violations to a supervisor and/or the Compliance Department; and the timely completion the Annual Compliance Training
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURES OR REGISTRY REQUIREMENTS
Licensed Advance Practice Provider - Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, with active state licensure.

Knowledge in healthcare systems operations such as EMR. Complies with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant Master's degree from an accredited program by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
3+ years Advanced Practice Provider Experience required; Urology experience preferred. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
REQUIRED TRAVEL
Travel to Affiliate locations as needed.
