Job Description

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Dental Treatment Coordinator, where your enthusiasm and organizational skills will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care. In this energetic role, you will serve as the bridge between patients and the dental team, ensuring smooth scheduling, accurate documentation, and effective communication. Your proactive approach will help patients navigate their treatment plans confidently while supporting the administrative backbone of our busy dental practice. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Greet patients warmly and manage appointment scheduling using dental practice management software Open Dental. Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance authorizations efficiently. Review and update patient records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Explain treatment plans to patients clearly, answer questions about procedures, costs, and financing options to facilitate informed decisions. Coordinate with dental providers to ensure timely delivery of care plans and follow-up appointments. Maintain organized medical records and documentation review processes for accuracy and completeness. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), and insurance verification processes. Proficiency in Open Dental is highly desirable. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and multi-line phone system operation. Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities. Previous clinic or dental office experience is preferred; strong organizational skills are essential for managing care plans and documentation review.
