EH DC Job Description:
The Operations Senior Manager leads assigned clinical areas to ensure optimal patient access, clinical quality, and financial outcomes. Provides leadership to assigned colleagues, monitors engagement, recruitment and retention best practices, and initiatives. Responsible for achieving financial targets related to staff productivity, physician and advance practice provider productivity, and ensures assigned areas are staffed according to volumes. Implements strategic priorities and executes assigned work with direction and guidance from leadership. Senior Managers are expected to drive process improvement or pilot improvements. Senior Managers are expected to manage increasing areas of responsibility, more complex work or scope of services as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
Manages fill rates, physician and advance practice provider schedules and templates daily Manages in reach or out reach as relevant to assigned practices Ensures standard work is implemented to achieve quality metrics Provides coaching, feedback and ensures development conversations are completed for all members of the team Serves as escalation point for patient access to care Participates in PDSA's and other improvement activities. Provides leadership for PDSA's or system improvements as needed Delegates work to assigned supervisors if appropriate Monitors daily clinic volumes and flexes staffing to meet staffing efficiency objectives Makes recommendations for long-range financial planning, program development and capital planning process to operational leadership Mentors new operations managers Implements actions to positively impact key revenue and expense drivers assigned areas to achieve margin targets
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare leadership or clinical healthcare field OR Associates degree in Nursing and ability to obtain bachelor's degree within 3 years from date of hire
Required Qualifications:
5 years of healthcare experience, preferably in a clinical setting or completion of administrative fellowship through Essentia Health fellowship program and 2 years of experience Demonstration of knowledge and application of Essentia Health's senior operations manager competencies
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration Demonstrated experience in healthcare leadership Proven success in roles that require day-to-day accountability for business operations, financial targets, and business initiatives
