Optician/ Optical Manager (3 years experience minimum)

About Us:

We are a well-established optometry practice with two doctors on staff, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in a friendly and professional environment. We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and patient-focused Optical Manager to lead our optical department and help drive the continued growth of the practice. This position combines hands-on optical expertise with leadership, inventory management, financial oversight, and operational responsibilities. The ideal candidate is an experienced optician who enjoys mentoring others, delivering exceptional patient experiences, and contributing to the success of a thriving independent practice.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday Office closes at noon on Fridays No evenings, no weekends

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations of the optical department including frame board management, vendor relationships, and department profitability and key performance indicators Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses and specialty eyewear solutions based on prescriptions, lifestyle needs, and budget Ensure accurate dispensing, adjustments, repairs, and troubleshooting Maintain a professional, patient-first approach Serve as a leader and resource for all staff members

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of optical experience Strong knowledge of ophthalmic lenses, frame styling, and optical dispensing A reliable team player with a customer service mindset Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities Ability to multitask and lead in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with computer systems and practice management software Why Join Us?
