Experienced Dental Front Desk Coordinator / Insurance Specialist Falls Lake Dental - Raleigh, NC Monday-Thursday | No Fridays | No Weekends | 7:30 am - 5:00 pm Falls Lake Dental is a privately owned, modern general dental practice seeking an experienced Dental Front Desk Coordinator/Insurance Specialist who takes pride in providing exceptional patient care, maintaining accuracy, and keeping the office running efficiently. This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who enjoys staying busy, solving insurance challenges, communicating professionally with patients, and taking ownership of their responsibilities. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys being part of a supportive team. Responsibilities Answer incoming phone calls professionally Schedule and confirm patient appointments Verify dental insurance benefits and prepare benefit breakdowns Submit insurance claims and supporting documentation Post EOBs and follow up on outstanding insurance claims Present treatment estimates and discuss financial arrangements Collect patient payments Maintain accurate patient records Work closely with the doctor, hygienists, and assistant to maintain an efficient schedule Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of front desk experience in a general dental practice Experience with PPO dental insurance verification and claims processing Strong knowledge of EOB posting and insurance follow-up Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong computer and organizational skills Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail Preferred Qualifications Experience using Open Dental Experience presenting treatment plans and financial arrangements Compensation & Benefits $23-$26/hour based on experience and demonstrated ability Benefits include: Paid holidays PTO 401(k) with employer contribution Employee dental benefits Scrub allowance Four-day work week No evenings or weekends Who Will Be Successful Here The ideal candidate can confidently perform most of the following with minimal training: Insurance verification PPO benefits breakdowns Claims submission EOB posting Insurance follow-up Scheduling productive doctor and hygiene appointments Treatment coordination Open Dental software If this describes your experience, we'd love to hear from you. Please Read Before Applying This position requires previous front desk experience in a general dental office. To be considered, applicants should have: ✔ At least 2 years of dental front desk experience ✔ Experience with PPO dental insurance verification, claims submission, EOB posting, and insurance follow-up ✔ Experience using Open Dental is strongly preferred Applicants whose experience is limited to medical offices, hospitals, chiropractic, optometry, veterinary, or other non-dental healthcare settings will generally not be considered, as the workflows, insurance systems, and terminology differ significantly from general dentistry. Pay:
$23.00 - $26.00 per hour
