Job Description
This Is Not an Entry-Level Supervisor Role. This is a career-defining opportunity for veterinary technicians who already operate at a high level and want real influence, clinical excellence, and respect, not micromanagement or empty titles. We are recruiting multiple Veterinary Technician Supervisors across the following departments: Neurology / Surgery Emergency & Patient Care Wards (Intermediate & ICU) Oncology / Cardiology / Radiology / Dentistry Each role carries real responsibility, visibility, and impact. Meet Eclipse Eclipse Specialty & Emergency Pet Care is a modern, privately owned specialty and emergency hospital built by board-certified specialists and a licensed veterinary technician who believe the future of veterinary medicine depends on exceptional teams, led exceptionally well. Our 24/7 hospital supports Emergency & Critical Care alongside Internal Medicine, Neurology, Surgery, Oncology, Cardiology, Radiology, and Dentistry inside a purpose-built, naturally lit facility surrounded by wetlands and greenery. We have the toys (CT, MRI, ultrasound, in-house lab, blood gases), but more importantly, we have standards. The Role As a Veterinary Technician Supervisor, you will lead one of our specialty or acute-care departments, overseeing technicians and assistants working in clinically demanding, high-stakes environments. This role is for someone who: Is already a go-to technician Leads through competence, consistency, and presence Thinks in systems, not just shifts Balances patient care excellence with team sustainability Is comfortable making decisions and holding standards You will not be micromanaged. You will be expected to lead. What You'll Be Responsible For Leading, coaching, and developing technicians within your assigned department Setting and enforcing clinical, behavioral, and operational standards Partnering closely with specialists, ER clinicians, and hospital leadership Overseeing onboarding, training, and progression through defined leveling frameworks Addressing performance concerns early, directly, and fairly Improving workflows, reducing friction, and protecting patient safety Serving as a visible, trusted leader on the floor This is a working leader role. Clinical credibility is non-negotiable. Who This Role Is For You are likely a strong fit if you: Have significant experience in specialty and/or emergency medicine Are confident in at least one of the departments listed above Have led teams before Communicate clearly, especially under pressure Care more about excellence than ego Want to build something sustainable, not survive chaos This role is not for someone seeking a title without accountability or influence.
