Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Practice Manager to oversee operations across two general practice veterinary hospitals in New Jersey currently under construction. This role is responsible for driving operational consistency, supporting clinical teams, and ensuring both locations deliver high-quality patient care and exceptional client service. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can balance day-to-day execution with longer-term operational and financial performance. Responsibilities Oversee daily operations across two hospital locations, ensuring consistency in workflows, service standards, and client experience Supervise and support site-level teams, including technicians and client service staff, while partnering closely with veterinarians at each location Coordinate staffing across both locations, including scheduling, coverage planning, hiring, onboarding, and performance management Monitor and manage financial performance, including revenue, expenses, payroll, and key performance indicators across both sites Develop, implement, and maintain standardized operating procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance Serve as a liaison between locations to promote communication, collaboration, and best practice sharing Address client concerns and escalations, ensuring timely and professional resolution Oversee inventory management and vendor relationships for both hospitals, identifying cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies Ensure compliance with New Jersey regulations, OSHA standards, and veterinary best practices Lead initiatives to improve team engagement, retention, and overall clinic performance Qualifications 3-5+ years of management experience, preferably in veterinary, healthcare, or multi-site operations Demonstrated ability to manage multiple teams or locations simultaneously Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and KPI management Ability to adapt quickly and problem-solve across varying operational needs Familiarity with veterinary practice management software required Knowledge of New Jersey employment laws and compliance requirements preferred Join us as we elevate veterinary healthcare through innovative management practices!
