We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Treatment Coordinator to join our vibrant dental team. We are looking for a compassionate, organized, and friendly person who can help guide patients through their insurance benefits and planned treatment options. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary liaison between patients and the dental practice, ensuring seamless communication, accurate treatment planning, and efficient financial arrangements. Your energetic approach will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel confident and cared for from their initial consultation through treatment completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong medical administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient service. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally, establishing a positive first impression Review patient records and verify insurance coverage using systems such as Epic, Meditech, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Athenahealth Explain treatment plans clearly, including procedures, costs, and financing options to patients Schedule appointments efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and manage patient flow Obtain and document accurate medical history and consent forms while ensuring HIPAA compliance Verify insurance benefits, process claims, and follow up on outstanding payments using medical billing and coding knowledge including
CPT, ICD-10/ICD-9
codes Collaborate with clinical staff to coordinate care plans and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate Manage patient inquiries via multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette Assist with medical records management, filing, and maintaining organized documentation review processes Support office management tasks such as billing, collections, and administrative support to ensure smooth clinic operations Qualifications Proven experience in dental office administration or medical administrative support with clinic or dental clinic experience preferred Strong knowledge of Open Dental or similar dental system Proficiency in insurance verification, and billing procedures Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively (in bilingual settings preferred) Knowledge of dental terminology and health information management standards including HIPAA regulations Ability to handle multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills Previous experience working with insurance claims processing for Medicare or other health plans is advantageous Strong attention to detail in documentation review and accuracy in medical records management Professional demeanor with excellent phone etiquette and clerical skills Join our team to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by providing outstanding support in a fast-paced dental environment.
