Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Veterinary Practice Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy veterinary practice. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and organizational skills, a passion for animal care, and the ability to effectively manage both medical and administrative staff. This is a dynamic role that requires an individual who can balance business management with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the practice, ensuring smooth functioning and efficiency in all areas. Manage and supervise a team of veterinary technicians, receptionists, and support staff, providing leadership, training, and performance evaluations. Handle financial management, including budgeting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and inventory control. Develop and implement practice policies and procedures that ensure high-quality service, patient care, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Work closely with the veterinary team to ensure a positive and productive work environment. Monitor client satisfaction and resolve any issues or complaints, ensuring that clients receive excellent service. Coordinate scheduling and ensure adequate staffing levels at all times. Ensure the practice is compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations related to veterinary services and business operations. Promote and implement marketing initiatives to increase visibility and grow the practice.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary management or practice management role. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. Proficient in veterinary practice management software (e.g., Avimark, Cornerstone, etc.). Knowledge of veterinary billing, payroll, and financial management. Ability to handle high-stress situations with professionalism and a customer-focused attitude. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically. High school diploma or equivalent required; LVT and/or CVPM preferred. Previous experience working in a veterinary setting is highly preferred.
