Job Description

Insurance Authorization Specialist We are partnering with one of the nation's top Orthotics & Prosthetics providers to find an Insurance Authorization Specialist for their East Meadow office. This company holds exclusive contracts with top healthcare organizations, providing a dynamic and team-oriented work environment with strong growth opportunities. What's in it for you?

Responsibilities:
Verify insurance coverage, obtain pre-authorizations, and assist with medical billing. Ensure accurate and timely submission of insurance claims. Review clinician documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Manage front office duties, including clerical tasks, mail distribution, and document preparation. Oversee petty cash, office supply inventory, and financial documentation. Assist with scheduling to ensure proper practitioner and patient appointment coverage. Generate financial and operational reports related to revenue, patient flow, and sales.
Qualifications:
Ideally 2 years of experience in a medical office with administrative and insurance verification responsibilities. Familiarity with medical billing, insurance reimbursement processes, and medical office procedures. Strong communication skills for patient interactions, staff coordination, and reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical billing systems.
