Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated, organized, and experienced Veterinary Technician Floor Manager to join our fast-paced, multi-doctor general practice. This role combines hands-on veterinary technician knowledge with administrative leadership responsibilities to help support daily hospital operations, staff coordination, client service, and overall team success. The Veterinary Technician Floor Manager serves as a key support role for both medical and administrative teams by assisting with scheduling, staff support, equipment coordination, client relations, inventory assistance, and operational planning. We are looking for someone who is compassionate, dependable, solutions-focused, and passionate about supporting both patients and the veterinary team. We offer quality medicine in a busy practice. Responsibilities Administrative & Staff Support • Hands on patient care as a technician on the floor in the treatment room • Run Anesthesia for the surgical department and sedated cases for appointments Coordinate staff coverage, including managing call-offs and providing scheduling support to ensure smooth daily operations Provide staff support and assist in addressing workplace concerns as they arise Help maintain a positive, productive, and professional team environment Support leadership with staff communication and workflow management Oversee training duties of new hires Client Service Support Assist team members with frustrated, upset, or challenging client interactions Help resolve client concerns professionally while maintaining excellent client service standards Support front desk and medical teams in delivering exceptional patient and client care Operational & Clinical Support Help coordinate troubleshooting, maintenance communication, and operational support for essential equipment Provide input and support for quarterly staff meetings Support general pharmacy organization and inventory assistance as needed Qualifications Registered Veterinary technician experience required Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations Experience handling difficult client interactions preferred Basic understanding of veterinary equipment and hospital operations Strong team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving Benefits Available After 90 Days Health, dental, and vision insurance (employer covers 50% of premium) Paid Time Off (PTO) on an accrual basis Paid Holidays Uniform allowance of $150 with annual renewal Pet health discounts Free Annual exam per pet with unlimited Antech lab costs and Free Radiology Consults Childcare options onsite for a low cost to the employee Benefits Available After One (1) Year of Employment Short-term disability insurance (employer paid) 401(k) retirement plan with up to a 4% employer match Employee Assistance Program (employer paid) Continuing education allowance up to $500/yr, with additional allowance included for this role Schedule Full-time (36-40 hours) position based on hospital needs, including flexibility to support operational demands. Monday through Friday availability. No weekends or on call nights! Rate $27-$30 dollars an hour based on experience
