Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dental Office Manager to lead our dental practice with energy, precision, and a passion for excellence. The ideal candidate will possess extensive dental office management experience, demonstrating strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of medical administrative support, practice management, and healthcare operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily office functions, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, manage financial and fiscal responsibilities, and foster a positive environment for staff and patients alike. Your expertise in dental clinic operations and medical office systems will drive efficiency, enhance patient care, and support the growth of our practice. Duties Lead the daily operations of the dental office, ensuring smooth workflow and exceptional patient service. Oversee fiscal management including budgeting, financial reporting, billing processes, and managing accounts receivable/payable using systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or eClinicalWorks. Supervise staff including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and human resources functions to maintain a motivated and compliant team. Manage medical records, electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks, ensuring accuracy and HIPAA compliance. Coordinate with clinical staff to optimize clinic experience while maintaining high standards of medical management and acute care protocols. Monitor clinic compliance with healthcare regulations such as JCAHO standards and utilization management policies. Implement practice improvements by analyzing workflow efficiency, managing clinic schedules, and overseeing medical administrative support functions. Maintain proficiency in medical terminology and hospital or healthcare management practices to ensure seamless integration of services. Skills Proven experience in dental office management. Strong supervisory skills with demonstrated success in managing teams within a clinical or hospital environment. Expertise in fiscal management including budgeting, financial management, and managed care processes. Proficiency with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Open Dental Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical records management, and medical terminology to ensure compliance and confidentiality. Experience in office management tasks including human resources functions, scheduling optimization, and administrative oversight. Ability to adapt quickly to new healthcare technologies like hospital or clinic information systems; critical care or acute care experience is a plus. Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with clinical staff, patients, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
