Job Description
Job Summary The Medical Office Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of a medical practice or clinic. This position is responsible for overseeing the administrative functions, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and have experience in medical office management, particularly within a dental or medical setting. Duties Oversee daily operations of the medical office, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care. Manage scheduling, billing, and patient records using electronic health record systems. Supervise administrative staff, providing training and support to enhance team performance. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure effective communication and collaboration within the practice. Implement office policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency. Handle patient inquiries and resolve issues related to appointments, billing, or services. Skills Proven experience in medical management or office management within a dental or healthcare setting. Proficiency in managing medical records and familiarity with electronic health record systems. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership abilities to manage staff and foster a positive workplace culture. Exceptional communication skills for interacting with patients, staff, and healthcare providers. Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards. Prior experience using Quick Books and creating spreadsheets. Prior experience running insurance verifications, obtaining prior authorizations for both office procedures and medications. Prior experience with Microsoft Office programs
