Veterinary Practice Manager

Responsibilities Lead the overall management of the veterinary practice, including staff supervision, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Oversee medical office operations utilizing EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as eClinicalWorks, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Coordinate human resources functions including hiring, training, and staff development to build a motivated and efficient team. Ensure adherence to healthcare standards such as JCAHO accreditation, OSHA regulations, and veterinary practice guidelines. Optimize clinic workflows for acute care, dental procedures, and general veterinary services to enhance patient outcomes and client experience. Maintain inventory control of medical supplies and equipment while managing vendor relationships for seamless clinic operations. Support medical management by facilitating communication between veterinary staff, clients, and external healthcare providers. Qualifications Proven experience in medical office management within a healthcare or veterinary setting; familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like eClinicalWorks or Epic is highly desirable. Strong supervisory skills with previous experience managing teams in a clinical environment. Knowledge of fiscal management including budgeting, financial reporting, and managed care processes. Background in veterinary or healthcare management with understanding of medical terminology, records management, and HIPAA compliance. Experience with dental office or hospital settings is a plus; familiarity with JCAHO standards is advantageous. Excellent organizational skills combined with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives related to human resources, office management, and medical administrative support.
