Harbor Health Practice Manager Austin, TX (Heritage, Allandale, Sunset Valley) | Full-Time
POSITION OVERVIEW
Harbor Health is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to oversee daily operations at our Heritage, Allandale, and Sunset Valley primary care clinic locations. This role is responsible for managing clinical support staff, ensuring operational excellence, and creating an exceptional member experience across all three sites. The Practice Manager will split time between locations, leading a team of 12 clinical support staff while building scalable processes that support Harbor Health's integrated care and payment model. This position requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, member-centered care that aligns with our mission of transforming healthcare through our payvider model.
POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee daily operations of the Heritage, Allandale, and Sunset Valley clinic locations, ensuring efficient workflows and optimal member experience Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 12 clinical support staff across the three locations Implement and monitor operational policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including HIPAA, OSHA, and state healthcare regulations Monitor clinic performance metrics including member satisfaction, staff productivity, and operational efficiency Coordinate scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation across all locations Serve as primary liaison between clinic staff and the Regional Practice Manager, escalating issues and opportunities as needed Manage clinic budgets, supplies, and vendor relationships to optimize operational costs Ensure accurate and timely documentation in Athena and practice management systems Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance member care and clinic operations Address member concerns and complaints professionally and promptly Collaborate with providers to optimize clinical workflows and member access Conduct staff performance evaluations, training, and ongoing development Ensure clinics meet all accreditation and regulatory requirements Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of clinical support staff
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Required:
3+ years of healthcare practice management or clinic operations experience Proven experience managing clinical support staff in a primary care or multi-specialty clinic setting Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA, OSHA, and state requirements Experience with Athena and practice management systems Demonstrated ability to manage multiple locations or competing priorities Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare technology platforms
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field Experience in a value-based care or integrated care delivery model Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) or similar certification Experience in a startup or high-growth healthcare environment Bilingual in English/Spanish
