Job Description

Job Overview We are a premier family dental practice that has proudly served the Suffolk community for 35 years. As our founding dentist enters retirement, a dynamic new owner-dentist has acquired the practice to build upon this incredible legacy. To ensure maximum stability and continuous care, our entire dedicated staff is being retained.

We are fully investing in the future of the practice by modernizing our workflows and introducing state-of-the-art clinical tools. We are seeking an exceptional Dental Office Manager to anchor our veteran team, integrate new technology into daily operations, and partner with the incoming doctor to guide our practice into its next successful chapter.
Key Responsibilities Transition Leadership:
Serve as the primary, reassuring point of contact for patients during the ownership transition, maintaining high retention and practice goodwill.
Team Stability:
Support, guide, and reassure our retained, long-term staff through the transition process, fostering a positive, collaborative office culture.
Daily Operations:
Oversee all front-desk operations, including advanced schedule optimization, patient check-in/out, and practice administration.
Financial & Insurance Management:
Handle insurance verification, claim submissions, accounts receivable (A/R), billing collections, and patient financing options.
Qualifications Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of dental office management experience is required.
Change Management:
Prior experience navigating a dental practice acquisition or doctor transition is highly preferred.
Software expertise:
Proficiency with dental practice management software such as
Dentrix, Open Dental, or SoftDent Attributes:
Exceptional leadership presence, emotional intelligence, and excellent communication skills to guide a veteran team through organizational changes.
Pay:
$24.00 - $31.00 per hour
