Dental Office Manager Pruden Family Dentistry - Suffolk, VA Full-Time | $65,000-$72,000 Salary + Performance-Based Bonus Family Quality Integrity Compassion Teamwork Fun Pruden Family Dentistry is seeking an experienced Dental Office Manager who is ready to step into a true business leadership role. This position goes beyond traditional front-office management. Our Office Managers operate as the business managers of their practice, with full accountability for team leadership, operational execution, patient experience, and overall practice performance. Pruden Family Dentistry is an exciting opportunity for a strong operational leader to help support a newly relocated practice in Suffolk, VA. This is a unique opportunity to help support the practice's transition into its new space, strengthen existing systems and workflows, and reinforce a positive, accountable team culture while being supported by an established dental group and leadership team. About the Role As the Office Manager, you are the onsite leader responsible for ensuring consistent operational excellence and strong business performance. You will lead the team, execute dental operations systems, monitor key performance indicators, and proactively address opportunities for improvement. This role requires both hands-on leadership during patient care hours and focused time dedicated to working on the business, including reporting, planning, and performance review. Key Responsibilities Practice & Business Performance Own overall practice performance, including revenue, expenses, and operational KPIs Understand and act on production, schedule utilization, collections, and patient flow Identify trends, risks, and opportunities and proactively partner with leadership on solutions Execute reporting and performance reviews with consistency and discipline Team Leadership & Accountability Lead, coach, and hold the practice team accountable to performance expectations Support onboarding, training, and ongoing development of team members Address performance issues promptly and professionally Foster a culture of ownership, professionalism, and teamwork Operational Execution Ensure consistent execution of dental operations systems and SOPs Maintain schedule integrity for doctors and hygiene Oversee front-office workflows including scheduling, billing, insurance verification, and collections Coordinate with clinical leaders to support efficient patient flow Support the successful launch and ongoing stabilization of a new practice environment Patient Experience Ensure a high-quality, consistent patient experience from first contact through treatment completion Handle patient concerns and escalations with professionalism and empathy Compliance & Standards Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and applicable regulations Maintain accurate records and documentation Oversee facility readiness, organization, and safety standards
Work Schedule Expectations Monday-Friday:
Expected onsite presence during regular patient care hours This is a salaried leadership role with flexibility when business needs allow and additional time when required. Success is measured by performance and results, not hours worked. Qualifications Dental office management experience preferred, but not required Demonstrated leadership and team accountability experience Comfort reviewing KPIs and operational performance metrics Organized, proactive, and solution-oriented Experience supporting new practice growth, startup operations, or workflow development preferred Multi-doctor practice experience preferred
Compensation & Benefits Base Salary:
$65,000-$72,000, based on experience
Performance-Based Bonus:
