This position serves as the primary bridge between our patient's clinical needs and their financial responsibilities. This role is vital for helping patients overcome financial barriers to care.
Core Responsibilities:
Financial Consulting & Treatment Presentation :
Present treatment plans to patients, including estimated costs and insurance coverage. Secure patient commitment to procedures by presenting payment options.
Insurance Management :
Verify patient eligibility and benefits, submit claims, and navigate complex insurance portals to ensure reimbursement. Collections & Accounts Receivable (AR) : Collect co-pays and past-due balances.
Payment Planning :
Manage various financial opportunities for payment arrangements and facilitate applications for third-party financing like CareCredit, Sunbit and many others.
Administrative Support :
Reconciles daily bank deposits, complete End of Day Reporting, following up with and reporting to the Practice Administrator while maintaining precise financial records in our Dentrix dental software.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education
  • High school diploma or GED. Experience
  • Require 2+ years in a dental front office as a Dental Office Manager. Deep understanding of team environments and how to efficiently align with staffing needs. Leadership and Development
  • Demonstrates adaptability in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adjust to changing priorities, team dynamics, and operational needs while maintaining a high standard of professionalism. Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in Dentrix dental practice management software and Microsoft Excel. Skills
  • Strong negotiation and exceptional communication is required to discuss sensitive financial topics with empathy. Compliance
  • Deep understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
