Job Description

Who We Are Looking For We are seeking a candidate with a strong veterinary operations background, preferably from a private practice setting. Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVT/RVT/CVT) are strongly preferred. Candidates with a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) credential or equivalent management experience will also be considered. The ideal candidate has experience in a surgery-focused practice, understands the realities of day-to-day veterinary medicine, and leads from the front. This is not a desk-only management position. We are looking for someone who is willing to step into whatever role is needed to support the hospital, whether that means helping at reception, assisting technicians, supporting veterinary assistants, or troubleshooting operational issues. We value honesty, accountability, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will be comfortable identifying challenges, proposing solutions, and taking ownership of outcomes. We are looking for a manager who measures success through results, not activity. Responsibilities Oversee daily clinic operations and workflow Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate receptionists, veterinary assistants, and veterinary technicians Assist with doctor scheduling and ensure efficient appointment flow Step into reception, assistant, or technician duties when operational needs require additional support Monitor staffing levels and ensure appropriate coverage throughout the day Manage inventory, equipment, and clinic supplies while maintaining budgetary discipline Coordinate equipment maintenance and vendor relationships Address workplace concerns and interpersonal conflicts professionally and effectively Monitor labor costs, clinic expenses, and inventory expenditures Ensure compliance with clinic policies, procedures, and performance expectations Track operational metrics and implement process improvements Assist with payroll administration, quarterly reporting requirements, tax deadlines, and other administrative responsibilities Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and professional hospital environment Respond effectively to unexpected operational challenges and emergencies What Success Looks Like A well-trained, accountable, and engaged team Efficient appointment scheduling and surgical workflow High standards of patient care and client service A clean, organized, and well-maintained hospital Controlled inventory costs and responsible purchasing Staff who understand and consistently meet expectations Equipment and facilities that are proactively maintained Operational problems identified and resolved before they become major issues Measurable improvements in efficiency, team performance, and client experience A manager who is visible, engaged, and actively contributing to the success of the practice About Our Culture Holly Vet Clinic is a privately owned veterinary hospital that values ethical medicine, teamwork, accountability, and genuine relationships with our clients and patients. Pay:
$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
