$68.29 - $96.14 per hour, Exempt/Salary, payable bi-weekly. The salary scale for this position is between steps 0 and 19, depending on experience. Leadership Stipend:
This position includes an annual stipend of $10,000.00, which is evenly distributed throughout the year on top of your base salary. About Us Seattle Roots Community Health is a not-for-profit organization that operates two primary care clinics, an After-Hours Clinic, two School-Based Health Centers, a low barrier Medication-assisted treatment clinic and a Dental Clinic. Our Carolyn Downs Family Medical Center was founded in 1970 in Seattle's Central District. Our Country Doctor Community Clinic was established in 1971 by residents of the Capitol Hill neighborhood. At Carolyn Downs and Country Doctor, health care is a right. Job Summary The Dental Site Director provides leadership, oversight, and clinical direction for the dental department. Maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and enhancing patient access to dental services. The Dental Site Director will collaborate with the dental leadership team and clinical staff to improve workflows, quality outcomes, and patient satisfaction to the Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Directors. Key Responsibilities Supervise Dentist team Lead hiring for new salaried and locums dentists when needed, in collaboration the Dental Operations Team Onboard and train new dentists Perform quarterly dental chart audits to support clinical quality assurance and provider performance reviews Perform regular performance evaluations and re-credentialing for all Seattle Roots salaried and locums Dentists Support dental clinic operations Work closely with the Dental Operations Team to optimize workflows and processes for safe, efficient, and effective patient care Facilitate changes to dentist work schedules to balance provider and clinic needs and priorities on both long-term and day-to-day bases Collaborate with the Dental Operations Team to produce monthly reports on dental department issues, concerns, initiatives, and overall status/progress of the clinic Assist in the provision of continuing education, on-the-job training, and staff orientation Improve the quality of care: Coordinate with dental providers, clinic staff, and leadership to establish and maintain standards of clinical quality. Domains of clinical quality include, but are not limited to: Oral disease management and treatment outcomes Dental clinic systems/workflows/processes related to patient care Patient medical record charting/documentation Monitor and maintain high-quality dental care through established review processes, including Problem Identification, Procedure Complication, and Emergency Procedure forms Review and act on patient complaints and grievances in collaboration with the Dental Clinic Manager Participate as clinical representative of the dental program on the Dental Quality Improvement Committee Attend monthly meetings with Director of Quality and Strategy and Manager for Quality, Risk, and Compliance Assist in the development of policies and procedures, and/or guidelines related to clinical quality improvement initiatives Assist in the development and maintenance of contacts with outside organizations that sponsor or support clinical quality improvement efforts Represent Seattle Roots at seminars and conferences relating to clinical quality improvement efforts when requested Foster a positive work environment: Actively promote a team-oriented and inclusive work environment Demonstrate a commitment to the mission, core values, and goals of Seattle Roots, including the integration of the values of justice, respect, compassion, excellence, and stewardship into our programs and services Other duties may be assigned by supervisor Qualifications Minimum of 3 - 5 years of clinical-related experience, preferably in a community health or FQHC setting Doctoral degree (DDS or DMD) from an accredited dental school Active and unrestricted WA state dental license Maintain current registration/licensure as a DDS (Dental Professional) Active CPR License Abilities Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents Ability to write reports and documents that conform to prescribed style and format concisely and accurately Demonstrated ability to be a strong team player, skilled in interpersonal relationships and conflict resolution, and detail oriented Ability to apply logical or scientific thinking principles to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Work situations are vaguely defined, often unprecedented, and unique. Issues are very complex, abstract, conceptual, and long-term in nature. There is a continual requirement for strategic, innovative thought and synthesis of information as it pertains to work situations. The Dental Clinic Site Director must be able to creatively collaborate with other health care professionals from a variety of disciplines to achieve maximal productivity and programmatic effectiveness while continuously promoting the growth and development of fellow professionals, exercising appropriate supervisory control, and displaying good work judgment.
