We are seeking an experienced, organized, and people-focused Veterinary Clinic Operations Manager to lead the daily operations of our growing practice. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building strong teams, and is passionate about creating efficient systems that support both outstanding patient care and business success. Position Summary The Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice, including team leadership, client service, financial performance, workflow management, and administrative functions. The Manager partners closely with veterinary leadership to ensure a positive workplace culture, operational excellence, and exceptional patient and client experiences. Key Responsibilities Practice Operations Oversee daily clinic operations to ensure efficient scheduling, patient flow, and client service. Develop and maintain operational policies, procedures, and best practices. Monitor clinic performance and identify opportunities for process improvement. Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations, workplace safety standards, and company policies. Manage vendor relationships, inventory systems, and facility needs. Team Leadership Recruit, onboard, train, and support veterinary support staff and client service team members. Provide coaching, performance management, and professional development opportunities. Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable workplace culture. Lead team meetings and facilitate effective communication across departments. Assist with scheduling and staffing plans to meet operational needs. Financial Management Monitor budgets, revenue, expenses, and key performance indicators. Support payroll administration and workforce planning. Analyze practice metrics and implement strategies to improve efficiency and profitability. Partner with leadership on financial planning and growth initiatives. Help manage veterinary-related grants and grant reporting. Client Experience Promote exceptional customer service and client satisfaction. Address client concerns professionally and effectively. Support initiatives that strengthen client retention and community engagement. QualificationsRequired 3+ years of management experience in a veterinary hospital, animal welfare organization, or similar service-based environment. Proven experience leading and developing teams. Strong organizational and project management skills. Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities. Experience managing schedules, budgets, and operational workflows. Proficiency with veterinary practice management software (we use Daysmart Vet) and Google Workspace. Preferred Veterinary practice management experience. Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) credential. Experience in nonprofit, animal welfare, or mission-driven organizations. Knowledge of veterinary operations, client service standards, and medical workflow processes.
