Performs a variety of medical records duties including but not limited to maintaining patient records including record assembly, record location, retrieval and distribution, filing, auditing medical records, document indexing and validation, closing discharged records and preparing for destruction, uploading/downloading data from secure website(s), and performing quality assurance activities. Performs duties in accordance with established standards and procedures. II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking. Constant:
sitting, repetitive arm/hand motions, and full range of body motion. Occasional:

Experience in medical records. Proficient use of computers including Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel. Knowledge of medical terminology. Experience to demonstrate the following:
Ability to read and understand English fluently. Ability to verbally communicate well with people to obtain basic information (via telephone, e-mail or in person). Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to perform work accurately with a strong attention to detail. Ability to operate office equipment including computer, calculator, printer, copier, shredder, scanner, and facsimile machine/facsimile server. Ability to apply guidelines and procedures.
