Bilingual Medical Records Specialist

What You'll Do As a Medical Records Specialist, you will support the release and processing of medical records requests while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Process medical records requests received via phone, email, and fax Manage a high volume of requests, averaging approximately 250 per week Review and track requests using Excel spreadsheets and EMR systems Match medical records with corresponding billing information Fax and securely send records to authorized recipients Upload attachments and maintain organized documentation Verify records, notes, and procedures within the EMR system Answer incoming phone calls related to medical records requests and releases Transfer calls to the appropriate department when necessary Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling patient information What Success Looks Like Successful candidates will demonstrate: Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines efficiently Professional communication with patients and healthcare contacts Excellent organizational and follow-up skills Comfort navigating multiple systems and digital workflows Required Qualifications Bilingual in Spanish and English Previous medical office experience Strong customer service and phone communication skills Proficiency with computers and data entry Experience working in Excel spreadsheets Advanced formulas are not required Must be comfortable uploading, tracking, and managing information digitally Ability to work within EMR systems and handle confidential information professionally Preferred Qualifications Experience processing medical records requests or release of information (ROI) Schedule Monday-Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Why Join Us?
