Medical Records & Central Supply The Orchards is currently seeking a Medical Records & Central Supply Clerk to join our team.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Central Supply and Medical Records Clerk to manage the facility's medical supplies and maintain accurate medical records. This dual-role position supports both clinical and administrative operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with healthcare standards.
Responsibilities:
Central Supply Duties:
Order, receive, and inventory medical and office supplies. Distribute supplies to appropriate departments and ensure timely restocking. Maintain accurate records of supply usage and inventory levels. Work with vendors to manage orders and resolve discrepancies. Ensure supply storage areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
Medical Records Duties:
Maintain, organize, and file resident medical records in accordance with facility policies and HIPAA regulations. Assist with the preparation, scanning, and archiving of medical documents. Ensure records are up-to-date, accurate, and readily accessible for authorized personnel. Respond to requests for medical records in a timely and confidential manner. Support audits and compliance reviews by preparing necessary documentation.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience in medical records management and/or supply inventory preferred. Basic knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare documentation standards. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficiency with computers, filing systems, and basic inventory software. Ability to lift and move supply boxes (up to 40 lbs).
