Contract Medical Records Clerk
  • Marquette, MI Care One is seeking a Medical Records Clerk to fill a position located inside the Marquette Correctional Facility in Jackson, MI. This individual will support the daily healthcare office operations. Marquette Correctional Facility

No Holidays, No Evenings Compensation:
$19.00/hr. PTO Weekly Pay Responsibilities of the Medical Records Clerk Maintain and organize inmate medical records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with facility policies. Enter, update, retrieve, and verify inmate health information in electronic medical record systems. Process medical documentation, referrals, lab reports, and healthcare requests for correctional staff and providers. Respond to authorized requests for inmate medical records and assist healthcare personnel with record management and documentation. Schedule medical appointments, answer phone calls, and provide administrative support within a correctional healthcare environment. Operate standard office equipment. Perform additional administrative and clerical duties as assigned. Qualifications for the Medical Records Clerk Completion of an accredited Medical Records Clerk or Health Information Management program. Preferred Knowledge of medical records procedures and electronic health record systems. Knowledge of correctional healthcare practices. Preferred. Strong organizational, record management, and data entry skills with attention to accuracy and confidentiality. Ability to maintain professionalism and handle sensitive inmate health information with integrity and discretion. Ability to adapt to fast-paced correctional healthcare environments and work effectively with medical and custody staff. . Pre employment
