Join our team and be part of a dynamic healthcare environment that values your expertise. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Central Supply and Medical Records Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the inventory of medical supplies and equipment, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring that both supply chain and record-keeping processes are efficient and compliant with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Central Supply Duties:
o Manage the ordering, receiving, storage, and distribution of medical supplies and equipment. o Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as necessary to avoid shortages. o Inspect incoming supplies for quality and accuracy, and resolve any discrepancies. o Maintain clean and organized storage areas.
Medical Records Duties:
o Accurately file, retrieve, and manage patient medical records. o Ensure all medical records are up-to-date, properly documented, and securely stored. o Assist healthcare providers with accessing and updating patient records. o Comply with HIPAA and other relevant regulations regarding patient information.
General Administrative Tasks:
o Perform data entry and maintain accurate logs and records. o Assist in the preparation of reports related to supply inventory and medical records. o Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and communication.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
o High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in healthcare administration or related field preferred. o Previous experience in a medical records or central supply role is an advantage.
Skills and Abilities:
o Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. o Excellent written and verbal communication skills. o Proficiency with computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office and healthcare management systems. o Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Physical Requirements:
o Ability to lift and move medical supplies and equipment (up to [weight limit] pounds). o Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and manual dexterity.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in a clinical environment with exposure to medical supplies and patient records. May require occasional evening or weekend shifts depending on organizational needs. Salary/ Wage Range Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience
