Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking an Imaging Specialist to join our Medical Records team. Under the general supervision of the Medical Records Manager, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our laboratory data. This is a 100% clerical, entry-level position focused on scanning, filing, computer work, and digital document management in a professional corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities Document Management:
Organize, scan, and index documents daily in accordance with established policies.
Filing & Organization:
File invoices and laboratory reports daily; prepare transfiles for secure storage.
Department Collaboration:
Pick up transfiles and laboratory reports from various internal departments; work alongside Client Services and Billing to ensure all test request forms are accurately entered, scanned, and billed.
Quality Control:
Run daily quality control reports to verify that all physical forms have been scanned and digitalized correctly.
Retention & Destruction:
Rotate and retrieve files for shredding; safely destroy outdated laboratory records following established retention procedures.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 1 year of professional workplace experience (clerical, administrative, or data entry experience with strong organizational skills). Comfortable handling repetitive computer tasks and high-volume scanning with high accuracy. Professional demeanor and reliability, especially given the overnight schedule.
Preferred:
Previous experience handling medical or laboratory records. Basic familiarity with document imaging software or medical billing/records systems. Why Apply? Foot in the
