The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical litigation billing and collections processes, with expertise in managing liens related to patient settlements and insurance reimbursements. As a Medical Liens Revenue Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate lien documentation, effective revenue recovery, and compliance with applicable regulations. Your role is vital in optimizing revenue streams while maintaining excellent communication with legal entities, insurance companies, and healthcare providers. Duties Review and process medical liens to ensure proper documentation and timely submission for reimbursement. Coordinate with legal teams, insurance carriers, and healthcare providers to facilitate lien resolution and payment collection. Verify accuracy of medical records, and billing information related to liens. Monitor outstanding liens and follow up on unpaid or delayed reimbursements through effective collection strategies. Maintain comprehensive records of all lien activities within electronic health record (EHR) systems and other medical office software. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations governing medical liens and billing practices. Collaborate with billing departments to resolve discrepancies related to medical coding, billing errors, or documentation issues. Assist in training staff on lien procedures,, updates, and regulatory requirements to promote best practices across the team. Requirements Proven experience in medical billing, collections, or revenue cycle management within a healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of medical billing systems including liens settlement negotiation skills Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Experience handling medical liens, insurance reimbursements, and legal documentation processes. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining accuracy. Effective communication skills for liaising with healthcare providers, legal entities, insurance companies, and patients. Knowledge of medical office procedures along with proficiency in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR platforms. Attention to detail in reviewing medical coding and billing data to ensure compliance with industry standards.
