Job Description

Meadow Grove Transitional Care is looking for a qualified Medical Records &Transportation Specialist to join our facility! As Transportation Specialist, you will be engaged with the Nursing Management to complete both short and long-term tasks. You will have the opportunity to oversee resident transportation & appointments scheduling. The successful candidate will be tasked with creating and sustaining an organized appointment book and be responsible for ensuring residents' needs are met. STNA Licensure Resident Appointment Experience Ability to multitask Organization The Medical Records Personnel ensures that a complete medical records program is maintained in accordance with company standards, federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. Essential Activities and Tasks Quality and Compliance Management Maintains current and accurate records through use of computers and/or other documentation in accordance with company standards and federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations Ensures that incomplete records/charts are returned to appropriate personnel. Ensures paper records are properly assembled, coded, signed, indexed, etc., before filing. Ensures established policies and procedures for the medical records section are followed by all personnel. Maintains the confidentiality/rights of all patients and their care information. Ensures that electronic medical record has been entered correctly. Maintains face-to-face encounters and physician orders using the electronic medical record system. Notify Administrator of all requests for information from medical file, answer correspondence regarding the release of information from the medical records, prepare records in answer to subpoenas. Operations Management & Administration Reviews all records. Collects, assembles, checks and files patient charts as required. Attends all-employee and departmental meetings and in-service training as scheduled or as directed. Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree or certification as a Medical Record personnel is preferred. Experience - One year experience in medical records in a long-term care or healthcare facility preferred. Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
