As a Records Collection Specialist II, you will maintain patient records for all documentation required by
CMS. WHAT WE OFFER

HOW YOU'LL WORK
You'll will be responsible for submitting orders to physicians based on organizational, commercial insurance and Medicare/Medicaid requirements, requesting and collecting missing or incomplete orders and obtaining appropriate signatures, as required. You will be responsible for tracking all physician orders for signature, monitoring patient workflow and following up on outstanding documents.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Operations:
Prioritize, organize, batch, send, and track signature for physician's orders, for face-to-face documentation, and outstanding documents requiring signatures to keep write-offs to a minimum. Call and resubmit orders and face to face forms based on regulatory restrictions.
Record Keeping:
Work significantly in electronic medical record (EMR) software and complete demographic change requests and routine visit time changes.
Customer Service:
Assist clients, their families and co-workers in understanding records procedures and order tracking.
Policies:
Complete and submit all required documentation within specified company requirements.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with other departments and teams as needed to produce desired results.
HARD & SOFT SKILLS
Compassionate communicator with a positive attitude. Dedication to process improvement and excellence. Attention to detail is critical, as is being observant and following directions. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience working with computers is required. Problem solving and create solutions to drive to a course of action.
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent, with Associates degree or equivalent experience required. Knowledge of medical records including HIPAA regulations, Release of Information documentation, policies, and procedures as well as compliance to these standards is desired. Experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, such as Epic, Cerner, Homecare Homebase, Brightree or Kinneser/Wellsky is highly preferred. Experience working with Document Management systems, such as Worldview, and e-fax systems is strongly desired. Experience working with computers is required and experience with dual monitors is required. Minimum of 1 year experience in the health care industry; Home health experience highly preferred.
