Details:
Full-time, 40 hours per week Flexibilty in schedule and work assignments is required Weekend or evening hours, only as needed
JOB SUMMARY
The Medical Staff Services Specialist I will perform Medical Staff Services activities including meeting management, credentialing and privileging functions and other tasks to comply with contractual, hospital/health system requirements, external accreditation standards, state laws and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) Conditions of Participation for Hospitals.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in Medical Staff Services in an acute healthcare setting, including credentialing, privileging and meeting management preferred. Associate or bachelor's degree preferred Provides expert knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; credentialing database management preferred. Medical Staff certifications (CPSP or CPMSM) preferred Effective use of written and oral communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to speak clearly and distinctly, utilize in-person and current technologies for communication with staff, physicians, patients, colleagues and customers. Demonstrates adequate stamina to deal with stressful situations and to complete the necessary work schedule. Able to sit/stand/walk for extended periods of time throughout the work schedule with some lifting and bending. Demonstrates adequate vision for reading current literature and preparing written documents. Fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination to operate business office machines.
