Job Description

About us PJCox Law P.A. is a small business in Maitland, FL. We are a Florida Workers' Compensation Defense Law Firm with an immediate opening for full-time Medical Records Retrieval Specialist . Applicants must have 2+ years Florida Workers' Compensation experience or experience in medical records retrieval.
Office Hours:
Monday
  • Thursday 8:00 a.m.
  • 5:00 p.m. Friday 8:00 a.m.
  • 3:00 p.
m. Employer paid benefits include health insurance stipend, paid sick and vacation time, holiday pay and 401K with matching up to 4%. This role requires strong phone communication, excellent follow-up skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with medical providers and third-party companies to obtain and manage medical records efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Request and collect medical records from doctors' offices, hospitals, and third-party vendors Heavy phone usage with consistent follow-up to ensure timely receipt of records Communicate professionally and effectively with medical offices and outside partners Review, understand, sort, and organize medical records accurately Track requests, deadlines, and documentation through completion Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations
Qualifications:
Strong phone etiquette and communication skills Proven ability to follow up persistently and professionally Experience working with medical records or healthcare documentation preferred Ability to understand and organize medical records efficiently Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment Comfortable collaborating with medical professionals and third-party companies

Self-motivated and proactive Excellent time-management and organizational skills Reliable, professional, and patient when working with medical offices The salary for this position is negotiable with experience. This position does not offer a remote work option.
