Affiliated Neurologists, Goodlettsville, TN Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Records Clerk to join our healthcare team. The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for maintaining, organizing, and protecting patient medical records while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with HIPAA regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Collect, organize, and maintain patient medical records and documentation. Process requests for medical records from patients, providers, insurance companies, and authorized third parties in a timely manner. Ensure all records are complete, accurate, and compliant with HIPAA and company policies. Respond to inquiries regarding patient records in a professional and timely manner. Assist healthcare providers and staff with accessing medical information as needed. Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times. Complete other administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in medical records, healthcare administration, or a medical office preferred. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology preferred. Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is a plus. Strong computer, data entry, and organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to handle confidential information professionally. Strong communication and customer service skills.
