Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical records management and will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy, organization, and confidentiality of patient health information. This role requires proficiency in handling medical records functions in a fast-paced medical office environment. Previous medical records experience is
REQUIRED

Responsibilities Manage fax inbox duties, including monitoring, sorting, routing, and processing incoming faxes in a timely and accurate manner. Perform scanning and assigning of medical documents to the appropriate patient records and providers. Perform scanning and reviewing of medical records to ensure completeness, accuracy, and proper indexing. Process and fulfill medical records release request forms in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records while ensuring strict confidentiality at all times. Collaborate with healthcare providers and clinical staff to facilitate efficient medical records management and workflow. Utilize medical office software for documentation, recordkeeping, and communication purposes. Assist with additional administrative tasks related to health information management as needed. REQUIRED
Demonstrated knowledge of medical records processes, including release of information, scanning, and document management. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy requirements. Proficiency in using medical office software and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail to ensure accurate recordkeeping. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy healthcare environment. Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff.
