Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Nurse Administrator, where you will lead and coordinate nursing operations across multiple care settings. This pivotal role combines clinical expertise with administrative leadership to ensure exceptional patient care, compliance with healthcare regulations, and efficient management of nursing staff. As a Nurse Administrator, you will foster a collaborative environment that promotes high-quality care delivery, operational excellence, and staff development. Your leadership will directly impact patient outcomes and the overall success of our healthcare facility. Responsibilities Oversee daily nursing operations, ensuring adherence to clinical standards, policies, and regulatory requirements such as HIPAA and medical records management. Supervise nursing staff across various departments, including senior care, hospice, ICU, emergency medicine, and assisted living facilities. Coordinate patient care activities by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize treatment plans and improve patient satisfaction. Manage staffing schedules, conduct performance evaluations, and facilitate ongoing training to maintain a highly skilled nursing workforce. Implement and monitor utilization management protocols, case management processes, and budgeting strategies to enhance operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems for accurate documentation and medical records maintenance. Lead quality improvement initiatives by analyzing clinical data, overseeing accreditation standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Experience Proven nursing leadership experience in diverse settings such as hospital medicine, ICU (Intensive Care Unit), Level I Trauma Centers, or Level II Trauma Centers. Extensive background in patient care within acute care environments including emergency medicine, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), OR (Operating Room), or hospice care. Demonstrated supervisory experience managing multidisciplinary teams in healthcare facilities like nursing homes or assisted living communities. Strong familiarity with healthcare management practices including budgeting, utilization review, case management, and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Technical proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and productivity software essential for efficient administrative operations. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and the nuances of nursing home and home care services. Experience in managing staff performance metrics while fostering a positive work environment that promotes professional growth.
