Technical Proficiency Full Job Description Description:
Responsible for maintaining medical records in compliance with federal, state, local and contracting entities, providing quality assurance, ensuring that utilization review standards and confidentiality of records are maintained. Responsible for Support Services duties ranging from opening or closing the branch, staffing the front desk, answering phones and directing calls, managing and receiving mail, and taking meeting minutes and supporting the Support Services Supervisor as needed.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday 6:00AM to 2:30
PM Examples of Work:
Support clients who arrive for appointments and managing phone calls to the branch. Review and responding to external requests for medical records information. Scan all medical, release of information, and mental health documents into the client's electronic charts. Maintain confidentiality of client records. Prepares and mails outgoing mail. Opens, records, and distributes incoming mail as needed. Supporting with external inquiries for treatment by completing pre-screen process. Assisting with authorization process for mental health treatment. Taking minutes during branch meetings. Coordinate with vendors and other branch visitors. Serves as back-up to the Support Services Supervisor. Other duties as assigned by Support Services Supervisor and Branch Manager.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED Previous customer services related experience Previous experience in medical health chart preparation Accredited Records Technician (preferred) Experience working with ethnic/cultural minority populations Strong written and oral communication skills. Computer proficiency.
