Health Information Technician (Temporary)
Location:
El Monte, CA (Onsite)
Schedule:
Monday•Friday, 8:00 AM•5:00
PM Pay Rate:
$23•$26 per hour Join a Mission-Driven Healthcare Team We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Health Information Technician to support a respected healthcare organization in El Monte. In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of patient health records while supporting quality patient care. What You'll Do Manage, retrieve, scan, and maintain electronic and paper medical records Process requests for medical records from patients, providers, insurance companies, and other authorized parties Ensure health records are complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory requirements Support electronic health record (EHR) workflows, including EPIC documentation and record maintenance Assist with data integrity, chart audits, duplicate record reconciliation, and quality improvement initiatives Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support efficient operations What We're Looking For High school diploma required; RHIT certification preferred At least 3 years of medical records, health information management, or healthcare administrative experience Minimum 1 year of experience working with electronic health record systems; EPIC experience strongly preferred Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation practices Familiarity with ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 coding is a plus Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Why You'll Love This Opportunity Gain experience with a leading healthcare organization Work alongside a collaborative and supportive team Make a meaningful impact by helping ensure the accuracy and accessibility of patient health information If you thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment and take pride in accuracy, organization, and exceptional service, we'd love to hear from you!
