Job Description
JOB The County of Riverside
Assist the facility supervisor with coordinating IT support for equipment repairs.
Coordinate with outside clinics to schedule and facilitate patient visits.
Support medical staff in ensuring continuity of care.
Track and report equipment issues to ensure timely resolution.
Provide general clerical support to medical and administrative staff.
Apply medical terminology to support effective communication and documentation.
Ensure the facility is established with necessary needs.
Lifting required
Exposure to noise in certain work areas.
A valid California driver's license is required.

- Correctional Health System seeks to fill a Medical Records Technician II for the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside.
Other Essential Duties:
Perform document scanning and filing to maintain accurate medical records.Assist the facility supervisor with coordinating IT support for equipment repairs.
Coordinate with outside clinics to schedule and facilitate patient visits.
Support medical staff in ensuring continuity of care.
Track and report equipment issues to ensure timely resolution.
Provide general clerical support to medical and administrative staff.
Apply medical terminology to support effective communication and documentation.
Ensure the facility is established with necessary needs.
Lifting required
- includes handling boxes and medical equipment.
Exposure to noise in certain work areas.
Additional Requirements:
Possible travel may be required to assist other facilities in meeting department needs.A valid California driver's license is required.
Preferred Qualifications:

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Review patient's charts and abstract essential information requested such as history, findings, laboratory, X-ray results, surgeries, diagnoses, and date and hour of admission and treatments; compile statistics on patient data and prepare statistical reports; perform miscellaneous duties such as maintaining files, indexes, records systems, and checking documents.- Maintain supply inventory.
- Register live births, deaths and fetal deaths; facilitate delivery of newborn screening tests.
- Communicate with parents, lawyers and other interested parties on the accuracy, completeness and availability of documents.
- Pull and research medical or mental health charts; complete a variety of forms, certificates and documents relating to entries in medical records.
- Accept subpoenas for medical or mental health records or information and prepare response; determine if requests for release of medical or mental health information are legal and verify the identity of the inquirer as needed.
- Verify invoices for state reimbursement for contracted medical services.
